February – a busy month of lectures!

March 6, 2019 by The Stop Hunter Leave a Comment

February was a busy month of lecturing for me.

Highlights were two lectures given at KingsCollege London and QueenMary University London, organised by the Society of Technical Analysts. I was presenting on their Masters degree programmes on two of my favourite subjects – Trading and TechnicalAnalysis. Both were great interactive sessions and I hope the students enjoyed and learnt from them – good luck with the trading!

STA Summer Party Guest Presenter 11/07/17

July 17, 2017 by The Stop Hunter Leave a Comment

Really enjoyed being guest speaker at the Society of Technical Analysts Summer Party & Awards ceremony last week. Asked to do something ‘lighthearted’ and now tagged as the STA’s Peter Kay!

Even better was my call of a Lean Hogs technical seasonality correction on the Tuesday evening and by the Thursday it had fallen 25% – who said I cant move markets!

Congratulations and good luck once again to all those students who achieved the MSTA qualification – I hope you found my ‘new technical analysts survival guide’ presentation useful and you’ll remember some of my top 10 tips when you’re at the top of your game!

Guest speaker at ActivTrades Trading tour 2017

May 15, 2017 by The Stop Hunter Leave a Comment

Saturday 13th May 2017, Leicester Square, London.

I was invited by ActivTrades and the Society of Technical Analysts to be one of the guest speakers at the ActivTrades event. I was joined by other market professionals over the course of the event to give the audience an insight into the psychology and mindset behind today’s trader.

I specifically looked at what causes destructive trading, the mindset of the successful trader and how the audience could improve their trading skills by improving their own psychology through the use of such tools as technical analysis and money management. We looked at how the market thinks using practical examples, and how people participate in the markets psychologically (along the way playing some games to get the point across) and how understanding both the markets and yourself is critical to your success. For those interested, the material used for my presentation, was based on my book #Trading Thought Mind Medicine for Traders & Investors.

MSTA Exam Prep session for the Society of Technical Analysts (STA) at the LSE

April 6, 2017 by The Stop Hunter 1 Comment

Great interactive session last night teaching the Society of Technical Analysts (STA) Exam Prep session for the MSTA qualification at the London School of Economics. Covered all sorts of topics; the obvious exam hints and tips, how you write professional grade Technical Analysis reports, analysis in 3 time frames for the investor and trader, the basics: moving averages, trends, risk return, money management, Fibonacci, Ichimoku and much, much more. Good luck to all students sitting the exam in late April!
